STRING provides several important platforms for stakeholders to stay up-to-date on the goings-on in the Fehmarnbelt region. Two such important opportunities to network and gain new knowledge is the Fehmarnbelt Days on the 30th of September – 2nd of October and the STRING seminar on tourism as a driver on integration on Bornholm on the 14th of June respectively.

STRING will of course be present during the high-level political meetings taking place on the Danish island of Bornholm from the 12th to the 15th of June. One way in which STRING will be contributing to this event is through arranging a seminar entitled ''From politics to action - tourism according to STRING'' at 09.30-10.45 on the 14th of June.

This seminar sees the tourism industry not only as a marketing game, but as a driver of cross-border labour markets and a pre-requisite for emerging peripheral areas. This will not only offer thought-provoking perspectives on tourism as a growth engine; but also examine the very requirements of the leisure industry in the wake of the fixed link. The seminar will also look into how we can create a common tourism product, driving integration in both the metropolises as well as the peripheral areas.
